"Down to Earth" Limits on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena in Ukraine (Comment on arXiv:2208.11215)

Abraham Loeb. arxiv.org. October 5, 2022.

Loeb argues that assumed high atmospheric speeds should produce strong frictional luminosity, and that a shorter inferred range could permit ordinary explanations. His conditional critique supplies no raw-observation refit or identified object. The paper acknowledges Galileo Project support and a Breakthrough Prize Foundation grant; it does not document the unnamed official visit separately reported in his book.

Unidentified aerial phenomena I. Observations of events

B.E. Zhilyaev, V.N. Petukhov, V.M. Reshetnyk. arxiv.org. August 23, 2022.

Zhilyaev and colleagues report daytime imaging, angular motion and brightness variation. Their dark-object distances depend on assumed albedo and atmospheric scattering; derived sizes and extreme speeds inherit those assumptions. Moon and water-tower comparisons offer limited calibration checks. A separate two-station claim depends on synchronization and matching the same object. These reported measurements do not establish craft identity or extraterrestrial origin.

Supplied v1 text and eight native layouts reviewed; raw observations unresolved

Sex Differences in the Blood Transcriptome Identify Robust Changes in Immune Cell Proportions with Aging and Influenza Infection

Erika Bongen, Haley Lucian, Avani Khatri, Gabriela K Fragiadakis, Zachary B Bjornson, Garry P Nolan, Paul J Utz, Purvesh Khatri. ebi.ac.uk. November 12, 2019.

The authors derive a144-gene sex-expression signature from public cohorts and explore age, inferred immune composition and influenza response. Cohort reuse and repeated observations limit independent sample counts. Associations do not establish hormone mechanisms or clinical prediction. A retraction linked inside a cited reference concerns that older paper’s epistasis interpretation; it is not a retraction of this study.

Comment and Reply on Meteor storm evidence against the recent formation of lunar crater Giordano Bruno

Peter Nockolds, Paul Withers. sirius.bu.edu. 2002.

Nockolds proposes distortion or propaganda as an alternative explanation for the medieval account. Withers acknowledges limited Latin and chronicle access and reports a later translation discussion. The exchange preserves competing interpretations and dependence on the same historical narrative.

Radiative Signatures from Warp Drives Traveling Through the Earth's Atmosphere

Shaun David Brocus Fell, Abraham Loeb. arxiv.org. August 11, 2026.

Fell and Loeb model radiation from an assumed zero-ADM-mass warp-bubble geometry in an atmosphere. Their relativistic aircraft-scale examples predict strong emission. The geometry-generating source and backreaction are omitted; heating, continuum validity and propagation introduce further limits. These conditional predictions constrain an interpretation, without detecting or demonstrating a drive.

Ultra-high throughput single-cell analysis of proteins and RNAs by split-pool synthesis

Maeve O’Huallachain, Felice-Alessio Bava, Mary Shen, Carolina Dallett, Sri Paladugu, Nikolay Samusik, Simon Yu, Razika Hussein, Grantland R. Hillman, Samuel Higgins, Melanie Lou, Angelica Trejo, Laura Qin, Yu Chuan Tai, Shigemi M. Kinoshita, Astraea Jager, Deval Lashkari, Yury Goltsev, Sedide Ozturk, Garry P. Nolan. ebi.ac.uk. May 7, 2020.

The authors demonstrate split-pool barcoding for protein and targeted RNA measurements in cell lines, human blood-cell material and mouse cells. Large theoretical barcode capacity is distinct from measured event recovery. Uneven RNA detection, cell losses, exclusions, doublets and source discrepancies limit interpretation; no clinical or UAP validation follows.

An immune clock of human pregnancy

Nima Aghaeepour, Edward A. Ganio, David Mcilwain, Amy S. Tsai, Martha Tingle, Sofie Van Gassen, Dyani K. Gaudilliere, Quentin Baca, Leslie McNeil, Robin Okada, Mohammad S. Ghaemi, David Furman, Ronald J. Wong, Virginia D. Winn, Maurice L. Druzin, Yaser Y. El-Sayed, Cecele Quaintance, Ronald Gibbs, Gary L. Darmstadt, Gary M. Shaw, David K. Stevenson, Robert Tibshirani, Garry P. Nolan, David B. Lewis, Martin S. Angst, Brice Gaudilliere. ebi.ac.uk. September 1, 2017.

An observational immune model tracks term-pregnancy chronology in18 training and10 validation participants. Performance falls in validation; preterm pregnancies were excluded. Correlations do not establish causal immune mechanisms or preterm prediction. Source value, demographic and metadata conflicts accompany missing original article layouts and raw data. Nolan assisted interpretation and writing and disclosed equity interests.
