Single-cell spatial pharmacobiology identifies conserved stromal barriers to therapeutic antibody delivery in human solid tumors

Guolan Lu, John W Hickey, Maximilian Haist, Xulei Qin, Emily Zhao, Abdullah Naveed, Erna Forgo, Marc-A Baertsch, Lucas Mani, Xavier Rovira-Clavé, Andrey Finegersh, Yury Goltsev, Chiara Caraccio, Nynke S van den Berg, Marisa Hom, Deana R Colburg, Brock A Martin, Christina S Kong, Natalie S Lui, George A Fisher, A Dimitrios Colevas, Robert B West, Greg M Thurber, George A Poultsides, Garry P Nolan, Eben L Rosenthal. ebi.ac.uk. June 3, 2026.

An exploratory oncology study examines antibody distribution and tissue organization in small, nested patient cohorts. Several nominal associations weaken after statistical correction or patient sensitivity checks. Alternate measurement on the same tissues adds a different method, without independent patient replication or proven clinical benefit.

Reprogramming of stroma-derived chemokine networks drives the loss of tissue organization in nodal B cell lymphoma

Felix Czernilofsky, Anna Mathioudaki, Lea Jopp-Saile, Raphael Lutz, Dominik Vonficht, Xi Wang, Christina Schniederjohann, Harald Voehringer, Tobias Roider, Marc-Andrea Baertsch, Claus Rodemer, Henry Löffler-Wirth, Michael Grau, Donnacha Fitzgerald, Johannes Mammen, Jan Kosla, Nora Liebers, Peter-Martin Bruch, Diana Ordoñez-Rueda, Alexander Brobeil, Gunhild Mechtersheimer, Caroline Pabst, Carsten Müller-Tidow, Andreas Trumpp, Marc Seifert, Frank Neumann, Mathias Heikenwälder, Vladimir Benes, Wolfgang Huber, Jörg Distler, Georg Lenz, Hans Binder, Reiner Siebert, Garry P. Nolan, Moritz Gerstung, Judith B. Zaugg, Daniel Hübschmann, Simon Haas, Sascha Dietrich. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. March 25, 2026.

This lymphoma study combines new tissue profiling, reused datasets, limited cell cultures and retrospective survival associations to propose a model of altered tissue organization. Its assays overlap an earlier Nolan-linked atlas, and cells or repeated measurements are not independent patients. Data-derived survival thresholds and unresolved denominator/method wording qualify clinical interpretation. Nolan provided access to existing imaging and immune datasets; this article does not assign him a funding award or report a classified UAP approach.

Estimating time since influenza virus exposure using single-cell proteomic data

Klodiana Rizzo Nervo, Neda Hajiakhoond Bidoki, Han Chen, Zainab Rahil, Zach Bjornson, Kenneth Kim, Bonnie Bock, Melton Affrime, Logan Bauerle, Pham Bao Tran Huynh, David Liebowitz, Sean Tucker, Pier Federico Gherardini, Garry P. Nolan, Nima Aghaeepour, David R. McIlwain. frontiersin.org. March 19, 2026.

Rizzo Nervo, Nolan and colleagues model influenza shedding and time since exposure in two controlled challenge datasets. Preinfection baselines and selected healthy cohorts constrain generalization. Several count, legend, validation-method and error-metric descriptions disagree; this is not a UAP-exposure study.

SPACEc: a streamlined, interactive Python workflow for multiplexed image processing and analysis

Yuqi Tan, Tim N Kempchen, Martin Becker, Maximilian Haist, Dorien Feyaerts, Jiaqi Liu, Marieta Toma, Yang Xiao, Graham Su, Andrew J Rech, Michael Hölzel, Rong Fan, John W Hickey, Garry P Nolan. ebi.ac.uk. November 27, 2025.

SPACEc combines spatial proteomics processing, cell annotation and neighbourhood analysis. Nolan is credited with supervision. The supplied article, static supplement and reporting form were reviewed; peer-review correspondence is partly read. Reused tissues, expert labels and nested cell counts limit independent replication. Computational comparisons depend on dataset, platform, normalization and metric definitions; funding does not establish a UAP programme.

Annotation-free discovery of disease-relevant cells in single-cell datasets

Erin Craig, Timothy J Keyes, Jolanda Sarno, Jeremy P D’Silva, Pablo Domizi, Maxim Zaslavsky, Albert Tsai, David Glass, Garry P Nolan, Trevor Hastie, Robert Tibshirani, Kara L Davis. ebi.ac.uk. August 27, 2025.

This Nolan-coauthored computational study estimates disease-associated cells using patient disease labels and a healthy baseline, without requiring expert cell annotations. Reported leukemia examples support a research method, with stronger expert-label benchmarks, small patient cohorts and assumptions that limit interpretation. Millions of measured cells do not imply millions of independent patients. Disclosed NIH support does not establish a classified programme or UAP access.

The extra-islet pancreas supports autoimmunity in human type 1 diabetes

Graham L Barlow, Christian M Schürch, Salil S Bhate, Darci J Phillips, Arabella Young, Shen Dong, Hunter A Martinez, Gernot Kaber, Nadine Nagy, Sasvath Ramachandran, Janet Meng, Eva Korpos, Jeffrey A Bluestone, Garry P Nolan, Paul L Bollyky. ebi.ac.uk. April 15, 2025.

Barlow, Nolan and colleagues examine spatial immune patterns in a small diabetes donor study. The paper and its public reviews retain limits on selection, marker interpretation and causal inference; this is background biomedical research with no UAP-exposure cohort.

Quantitative characterization of tissue states using multiomics and ecological spatial analysis

Daisy Yi Ding, Zeyu Tang, Bokai Zhu, Hongyu Ren, Alex K. Shalek, Robert Tibshirani, Garry P. Nolan. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. April 1, 2025.

This computational study reanalyses existing tissue datasets to describe spatial cell diversity and infer molecular relationships. Its liver comparison has one tissue per condition, subdivided into ten regions; these are not ten patients. Colorectal-cancer survival models use internal validation. Nolan is explicitly acknowledged for NIH support and two FDA Medical Countermeasures Initiative contracts. Those public acknowledgements establish reported research support, without verifying contract scope or a classified UAP approach.

Alexandros P Drainas, David R McIlwain, Alec Dallas, Theresa Chu, Antonio Delgado-González, Maya Baron, Maria Angulo-Ibáñez, Angelica Trejo, Yunhao Bai, John W Hickey, Guolan Lu, Scott Lu, Jesus Pineda-Ramirez, Khamal Anglin, Eugene T Richardson, John C Prostko, Edwin Frias, Venice Servellita, Noah Brazer, Charles Y Chiu, Michael J Peluso, Jeffrey N Martin, Oliver F Wirz, Tho D Pham, Scott D Boyd, J Daniel Kelly, Julien Sage, Garry P Nolan, Xavier Rovira-Clavé. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. February 12, 2025.

This serology technology article was reviewed only for descriptive background, author roles, funding, disclosures and bibliography. Aggregate assay counts do not establish independent participant counts or clinical performance; their target-count arithmetic remains unresolved within this scope. Nolan shares an acknowledged NIH award with Julien Sage and is a corresponding author/joint supervisor. Patent and company interests are declared. Results, Discussion, Methods and figure captions remain excluded; no UAP or private-approach inference follows.
