The extra-islet pancreas supports autoimmunity in human type 1 diabetes

Barlow, Nolan and colleagues examine spatial immune patterns in a small diabetes donor study. The paper and its public reviews retain limits on selection, marker interpretation and causal inference; this is background biomedical research with no UAP-exposure cohort.

How we check sources

Not checked yet

  • Native article layout, the checklist’s native layout, tiny image labels and raw tissue, cell, code and genetic data were not fully reviewed.

Source limitations

  • Thirteen donors do not become millions of independent observations. Cross-sectional trajectories do not establish disease progression or causation. Caption/color-key discrepancies and a scope-specific analytic-exclusion tension remain documented.
