Ultra-high throughput single-cell analysis of proteins and RNAs by split-pool synthesis

Maeve O’Huallachain, Felice-Alessio Bava, Mary Shen, Carolina Dallett, Sri Paladugu, Nikolay Samusik, Simon Yu, Razika Hussein, Grantland R. Hillman, Samuel Higgins, Melanie Lou, Angelica Trejo, Laura Qin, Yu Chuan Tai, Shigemi M. Kinoshita, Astraea Jager, Deval Lashkari, Yury Goltsev, Sedide Ozturk, Garry P. Nolan. ebi.ac.uk. May 7, 2020.

The authors demonstrate split-pool barcoding for protein and targeted RNA measurements in cell lines, human blood-cell material and mouse cells. Large theoretical barcode capacity is distinct from measured event recovery. Uneven RNA detection, cell losses, exclusions, doublets and source discrepancies limit interpretation; no clinical or UAP validation follows.

#1453 - Eric Weinstein

Joe Rogan, Eric Weinstein. podscripts.co. April 3, 2020.

Weinstein discusses a conditional Geometric Unity proposal, academic invitations and institutional experiences. He acknowledges the theory and its practical outcome may be wrong or unknown. These are scientist and institutional accounts; no new government UFO approach is described.

SS Brotherhood of the Bell: The Nazis’ Incredible Secret Technology

Joseph P. Farrell. everand.com. April 2, 2020.

Farrell proposes a speculative historical reconstruction involving Nazi technology and later secrecy. He explicitly limits the terrestrial alternative to some cases and challenges Corso’s extraterrestrial interpretation. The offered text relies on secondary quotations and unverified archival excerpts. A conflicting vertical speed and an unsupported aircraft-identification step remain unresolved; the author also offers Soviet espionage as an ordinary alternative.

Transcript: Hal Puthoff, Transition Talks Lecture: “[TTSA] Were Responsible For Legitimizing The [UFO] Topic In The Mainstream Press”

Hal Puthoff, John L. Petersen. ufojoe.net. March 31, 2020.

Puthoff reports a subcontractor approach, congressional and classified-level briefings, foreign meetings and promised materials. His technical account explicitly retains nonexistent sample custody, questionable provenance, possible hoax or slag, experiments not yet done and engineering beyond present capabilities. The main lecture complements the previously read Q&A; these accounts do not authenticate recovered craft or material delivery.

Functional comparison of PBMCs isolated by Cell Preparation Tubes (CPT) vs. Lymphoprep Tubes

Han Chen, Christian M Schürch, Kevin Noble, Kenneth Kim, Peter O Krutzik, Erika O’Donnell, Jason Vander Tuig, Garry P Nolan, David R McIlwain. ebi.ac.uk. March 30, 2020.

A paired laboratory comparison uses three donors, three operators and eighteen processing aliquots to compare CPT and Lymphoprep methods. Differences in collection and centrifugation form part of the method packages. Nonsignificant results do not establish equivalence. Tables contain endpoint exceptions to broad conclusions, and figure captions and antibody lists conflict. Nolan contributed design, analysis and writing; commercial affiliations and funding are specifically attributed.

Observational Signatures of Sub-Relativistic Meteors

Amir Siraj, Abraham Loeb. arxiv.org. February 4, 2020.

Siraj and Loeb model hypothetical fast natural meteors and propose observational searches. A spacecraft analogy is speculative. The paper establishes no detected object, artificial origin, material test, deployed network or classified sensor access. Its network citation depends on their earlier paper.

Detecting Interstellar Objects Through Stellar Occultations

Amir Siraj, Abraham Loeb. arxiv.org. January 8, 2020.

Siraj and Loeb propose stellar occultations as a way to find conventional interstellar objects. An idealized all-sky forecast of about one annual event depends on population, size, noise and observing assumptions. Bound Kuiper-belt and Oort-cloud populations are ordinary alternatives, with overlapping timescales. Metadata, citation, figure, axis and model discrepancies remain unresolved. This supplied preprint reports forecasts rather than detections; work-level grant support does not establish government access.

Sex Differences in the Blood Transcriptome Identify Robust Changes in Immune Cell Proportions with Aging and Influenza Infection

Erika Bongen, Haley Lucian, Avani Khatri, Gabriela K Fragiadakis, Zachary B Bjornson, Garry P Nolan, Paul J Utz, Purvesh Khatri. ebi.ac.uk. November 12, 2019.

The authors derive a144-gene sex-expression signature from public cohorts and explore age, inferred immune composition and influenza response. Cohort reuse and repeated observations limit independent sample counts. Associations do not establish hormone mechanisms or clinical prediction. A retraction linked inside a cited reference concerns that older paper’s epistasis interpretation; it is not a retraction of this study.

TRAIL-induced variation of cell signaling states provides nonheritable resistance to apoptosis

Reema Baskar, Harris G Fienberg, Zumana Khair, Patricia Favaro, Sam Kimmey, Douglas R Green, Garry P Nolan, Sylvia Plevritis, Sean C Bendall. ebi.ac.uk. November 8, 2019.

This cultured-cell study examines variation in resistance to TRAIL-induced apoptosis. Responses differ across cell lines, and no universal resistant signaling state emerged. Reviewers questioned replication, causality and selected-marker diversity; the revised paper and small surviving fractions retain those limits.

MIBI-TOF: A multiplexed imaging platform relates cellular phenotypes and tissue structure

Leeat Keren, Marc Bosse, Steve Thompson, Tyler Risom, Kausalia Vijayaragavan, Erin McCaffrey, Diana Marquez, Roshan Angoshtari, Noah F. Greenwald, Harris Fienberg, Jennifer Wang, Neeraja Kambham, David Kirkwood, Garry Nolan, Thomas J. Montine, Stephen J. Galli, Robert West, Sean C. Bendall, Michael Angelo. ebi.ac.uk. October 9, 2019.

The authors describe a multiplexed tissue-imaging instrument and its performance under specific settings. The main tumor demonstration uses one patient, eight regions and 11,120 nested cells; a 41-patient comparison reuses earlier work. Static spatial patterns do not establish causal immune recruitment or clinical prediction. Nolan supported the work and held patent and shareholder interests. Sensitivity, depth counts, figure settings and panel recipes contain unresolved inconsistencies.

An Argument for a Kilometer-Scale Nucleus of C/2019 Q4

Amir Siraj, Abraham Loeb. arxiv.org. September 12, 2019.

Siraj and Loeb argue that a roughly kilometer-scale Borisov nucleus better matches an assumed ordinary Oort-cloud mass budget. An eight-kilometer alternative produces substantial tension with that benchmark, without independently disproving the larger size. Their figure uses four points for three object families, including two alternative Borisov radii. Sparse Poisson bounds do not capture every observing or population uncertainty. This is a conditional argument using reported observations, not a new measurement campaign or artificial-origin finding.

Newly Discovered Comet Is Likely Interstellar Visitor

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. jpl.nasa.gov. September 12, 2019.

This JPL release attributes a 2–16 km comet diameter to Meech’s team, corresponding to the 1–8 km radius relayed in the Siraj–Loeb paper. It does not establish a unique size. Interstellar confirmation was pending when the release appeared; its forecasts are historical. Ordinary cometary appearance and public institutional collaboration are described.
