TRAIL-induced variation of cell signaling states provides nonheritable resistance to apoptosis
This cultured-cell study examines variation in resistance to TRAIL-induced apoptosis. Responses differ across cell lines, and no universal resistant signaling state emerged. Reviewers questioned replication, causality and selected-marker diversity; the revised paper and small surviving fractions retain those limits.

How we check sources
Not checked yet
- Original main-paper PDF, Word layout,21 remaining review-page layouts, tiny figure lettering, raw FCS data and code remain unreviewed. The compiled review history is not the original correspondence formatting.
- Cell counts are not independent biological replicates; some time courses used one replicate. Same-cell tracking was absent, and pre-existing resistant cells were not excluded. No patient efficacy, durable eradication, independent validation or UAP conclusion was established.
- Native discrepancies in correlation direction, Pearson versus Spearman labels, cell-line captions, review-versus-final p-values and marker counts remain unresolved. Figures retain nonzero surviving fractions despite broader resistance-abrogation wording.
