Jacob Haqq-Misra, Ravi Kopparapu. arxiv.org. August 28, 2026.
Haqq-Misra and Kopparapu analyse limits on inferring motion from 112 released sensor-video records. Angular motion depends on range, viewing geometry and platform motion. A transverse-speed bound does not establish total speed or identify every object.
Eric Keto, Wesley Andrés Watters. arxiv.org. June 19, 2024.
Keto and Watters test satellite timing on two balloon examples and a snowy scene where ground alignment fails. Apparent fast motion is parallax. Timing is inferred under fixed-rate and negligible-motion assumptions, with incomplete independent ground truth and uncertainty.
Eric Keto, Wesley Andrés Watters. arxiv.org. May 18, 2024.
Keto and Watters use satellite imaging timing to examine apparent motion in one processed scene. Viewing geometry, altitude and mosaicing affect speed estimates. Proposed classifiers are not validated deployments, and a tenfold arithmetic discrepancy remains unresolved in the HTML rendition.
Kevin H. Knuth, Michael Habeck, Nabin K. Malakar, Asim M. Mubeen, Ben Placek. knuthlab.org. June 29, 2015.
Knuth and colleagues explain Bayesian evidence, prior-sensitive model comparison and approximate estimation. Their examples show how assumptions, dependent observations and numerical uncertainty affect apparent model winners. The paper provides methods context for evaluating claims; its sensor example overlaps an earlier study and supplies no independent UAP observations.
