Detection of Moving Objects in Earth Observation Satellite Images: Verification
Keto and Watters test satellite timing on two balloon examples and a snowy scene where ground alignment fails. Apparent fast motion is parallax. Timing is inferred under fixed-rate and negligible-motion assumptions, with incomplete independent ground truth and uncertainty.

How we check sources
Not checked yet
- Raw commercial scenes, exact frame timing, calibration, mosaicing/code, private correspondence and final journal collation were not reviewed.
Source limitations
- Abstract and scene years, figure location, speed units and bibliography differ. The stated within-three-sigma altitude comparison is about 3.19 using only the given uncertainty. Two successful examples are not broad validation; the failure constrains unknown-target analysis.
