UFO Afrinews No16 (July 1997) — military accounts and Kitwe correction
The July 1997 issue preserves military debriefing accounts with uncertain dates and missing originals, including an unnamed soldier’s story that Hind questions on chronological grounds. It corrects Ian McPhee’s alleged presence in an earlier Kitwe report and records negative site checks and natural alternatives for other reports.

Read all 76,858 extracted characters across 24 received PDF leaves; viewed six native layouts (1,2,3,5,18,21), including the numbered map and unnumbered artist impression. Eighteen other native layouts and fine glyph precision remain unreviewed. Native July 31, 1975 resolves mangled OCR. Original letters, diaries, records, broadcasts and custody remain outside the received issue. July 1997 is the issue month; the alleged military events and later recollections have separate dates. McPhee’s denial qualifies S7650.

- Eighteen native layouts and fine glyph detail remain unreviewed. The issue’s supplied text is complete; original diaries, letters, military records, broadcasts, photographs, samples and custody records were not received.
- Brown’s reported debrief depends on later correspondence and memories. His belief that a patrol sought a UFO is an inference. Joe remains unidentified, and Hind questions his reported MJ-12 chronology. Neither establishes a secret programme or achieved access.
- McPhee’s denial reaches Hind through Brian Legg. The earlier Kitwe account is retained with this correction; the original correspondence and separately interviewed witnesses remain unavailable.
- The Lilfordia witnesses were not interviewed by Hind. Her site visits found no reported radiation or metal anomaly, with lightning and grazing alternatives. Technical and ancient-contact sections summarize hypotheses and layered hearsay; underlying papers and cited books remain unread.
