What we checked

Root read the five selected modern-transcription pages 0, 1, 121, 122 and 123 and viewed their whole native layouts: 10,339 extracted characters. This includes the title, editor note and complete entries dated 16 and 17 July 1676, on printed pages 122–124. Surrounding entries are partial. Receipt of the intact 192-page file is not whole-volume reading. The title says 1697 while the creator catalogue says 1696; the modern file was created in 2007 and revised in 2013. These dates remain distinct.

How we check sources

Not checked yet

  • The remaining 187 modern pages, original manuscript, microfilm, historical facsimile, precise edition and diagram provenance were not reviewed. The editor’s account of transcription and typo correction is retained as attribution. The full volume, Wonders edition and whole author corpus remain incomplete. Only bibliography, a link and original summary are staged; the intact source body and contact details remain private.

Source limitations

  • The diagram key in this modern rendition visibly names E as The One Element and F as The Supercelestial Moon. This qualifies the related illustration in Wonders in the Sky; it does not authenticate every tiny glyph in that later book or the original historical image. Re-extracting the old book’s identical pixels supplied no new layout credit. The image is Jane Lead’s vision, rather than the adjacent Uffington meteor account.
  • Lead describes an inward spiritual vision and attributes words to a divine voice; the next entry interprets it in terms of faith, purification and imagination. The label Moon does not establish a physical astronomical object or craft. Later UFO interpretation and a second reproduction provide no independent witness or occurrence confirmation. No named government approach or custody account appears in this selected scope.
