UFO Afrinews No3 (May 1990) — threatened investigation and untested accounts
Hind reports an anonymous threat and an invitation that did not lead to the planned meeting, alongside criticism of the Kalahari crash story. Evans offers several possible explanations for UFO reports. Other accounts include a witness reporting to a commanding officer and Henry’s recollections of technical conversations. Missing records, ordinary alternatives, source corrections and untested claims remain explicit. The supplied book reviews do not substitute for the books.

How we check sources
Not checked yet
- All 26 supplied extracted leaves and twelve native layouts were reviewed, including reconstructed diagrams, a map and Henry’s illustrations. Fourteen other layouts and fine glyphs remain outside scope. Original recordings, radar, orders, letters, photographs, clinical and laboratory records, demonstrations and cited books were not reviewed.
- The threatening caller was anonymous; Hind’s later identity attribution lacks a stated identification basis. The hotel meeting did not occur. Alleged intelligence ranks, agency involvement, photographs and promised documents lack originals. A later issue corrects a fireball date from 1989 to 1988, weakening the proposed link.
- Henry’s technical account remains a recollection, with conflicting dates, unnamed engineers, no specimen or working model, and adverse later assessments. Two marks are inferred; ordinary theft is offered for a missing item. Reporting to a commanding officer is distinct from verified government investigation or recruitment.
- The May 1990 masthead conflicts with a later June citation. Firsthand reports, relayed testimony and inference remain separate; reported participants are not independent interviews. Evans retains mixed and provisional explanations. Complete supplied reviews and book metadata add no whole-book completion.
